TiBetan Prayer Flags
In art class the 2nd graders traveled to Tibet! The Tibetan people for centuries have planted prayer flags outside their homes in belief that the wind would carry their prayers across the countryside. Prayer flags are said to bring happiness, long life and prosperity to the flag planter and those around them. Students were asked to make their own prayer flag by writing their own prayer and drawing an image that describes their prayer.
